If lizard falls in the water tank,then is it safe to drink & for cooking.?

Today when i was checking water level in the tank,then suddenly a lizard which was hiding at the corner suddenly fell in it. but yet i am not sure weather it died or still alive,meanwhile it seems not dead because its body isn't floating above the water.
