Where to study Vedic Sciences ? Preferably in India and as a formal method of education?

Websites of Maharishi (Mahesh Yogi) University of Management, USA (established 1971) and Maharishi Open University seem promising...Also I read that in India Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya (University) was established in 1995 at Madhya Pradesh with courses on Vedic Sciences. The US partners even have PhD level education. I am firstly interested in knowing if anyone of you has any feedback on how successful have these institutions been in teaching Vedic sciences ? Secondly, recommendations for other institutions in India which impart such trainings.
